Delete Pages from PDF
Remove specific pages from PDF documents quickly and accurately. Select individual pages or page ranges through an intuitive visual interface, with options to invert your selection when you need to keep only certain pages. Perfect for removing cover sheets, blank pages, confidential sections, or unwanted appendices.
What does this tool do?
The Delete Pages tool provides precise page removal capabilities for PDF documents. It displays thumbnail previews of all pages in a scrollable grid, allowing you to identify exactly which pages to remove. You can select individual pages by clicking, select ranges using shift-click, or invert your selection to keep only the pages you've selected. The tool then reconstructs the PDF without the removed pages, maintaining all content and formatting on the remaining pages.
How it works
When you upload a PDF, the tool renders thumbnail previews of each page using MuPDF. As you select pages for deletion, they're visually marked. The invert selection feature flips your selection — useful when you want to keep only a few pages from a large document. When you apply the deletion, MuPDF creates a new document containing only the pages you've chosen to keep, preserving all content, links, and formatting from those pages. The removed pages are completely excluded from the output file.

Select pages to delete
Click individual page thumbnails to mark them for deletion. For ranges, click the first page, then shift-click the last page to select the entire range. Selected pages are highlighted.
- 3
Use invert selection when needed
If you want to keep only specific pages, select those pages first, then click Invert Selection. Now everything except your selected pages is marked for deletion.
- 4
Delete and download
Click Delete Pages to remove the selected pages. The trimmed PDF downloads automatically with a filename indicating it has been modified. Your original file remains unchanged.
Common use cases
Remove blank pages from scanned documents
Scanned documents often include blank pages from duplex scanning or document feeder errors. Quickly identify and remove these empty pages to create cleaner documents.
Trim confidential appendix pages
Remove confidential appendix pages, price sheets, or sensitive information before sharing documents with external parties.
Extract specific content by deletion
When you need only a few pages from a large document, use invert selection to keep just those pages — effectively extracting them by deleting everything else.
Clean up presentation exports
PowerPoint and Keynote PDF exports sometimes include unwanted notes pages or blank slides. Remove these to create polished final presentations.
Tips & best practices
- Use the thumbnail previews to identify blank pages — they appear as empty or nearly-empty thumbnails
- Shift-click range selection is the fastest way to delete large consecutive sections
- When unsure which pages to keep, select the pages you want and use Invert Selection instead of manually selecting dozens of pages to delete
- Always keep your original file as backup — deletion is permanent in the output file
